Almost every failed slab in Florida comes down to the same short list: a base that wasn't compacted, steel that wasn't there, or joints that were cut too late. None of it is visible once the pour is finished — which is exactly why it gets skipped. Planning it properly is the whole job.
SUBGRADE
Compacted, not just raked
Loose sand settles. We grade and compact before anything is formed, and we don't pour over soft spots.
BASE
Clean fill, uniform depth
An even base thickness under the whole slab. Uneven support is what breaks concrete in half.
STEEL
Rebar or mesh, tied and chaired
Reinforcement lifted into the middle of the slab, not lying in the dirt where it does nothing.
MIX
The right strength for the load
A driveway carrying trucks is not the same mix as a garden path. We spec it for what will actually drive on it.
JOINTS
Cut on time, in the right places
Concrete will crack. Control joints decide where. Cut too late and it picks its own line.
CURE
Protected while it gains strength
Florida sun pulls water out of a fresh slab fast. Curing is the cheapest strength you can buy.
How a pour runs
You'll know the price and the schedule before we form anything. Most residential jobs are finished inside a week, weather permitting.

We measure, look at drainage and access, and quote a fixed price in writing. No charge and no pressure.
Layout and forms
Lines snapped, elevations set, forms built to the grade that carries water where it should go.
Base and steel
Subgrade compacted, base spread to uniform depth, reinforcement tied and chaired. Inspection here if the permit calls for one.
Pour and finish
Placed, screeded, floated and finished the way you chose. Early start so the crew isn't finishing in the afternoon heat.
Joints, cure and cleanup
Control joints cut on schedule, curing protected, forms pulled, site left clean. We tell you exactly when you can walk and drive on it.
